Intimate upscale independant hotel in Gig Harbor (bedroom community to Tacoma WA) seeks bookkeeper with knowledge of hotel accounting and Quickbooks Pro.

Who Will this Job Appeal To?

• This position will appeal to an indvidual who has good bookkeeping and computer skills who would like the opportunity grow into a well trained accountant and / or hotel controller. The hotel's general manager holds both CPA and CHAE accounting designation and willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities for this Position

• Working with one other accounting professional, generaly responsible for handling daily bookkeeping functions for a 64 room full sevice hotel. The areas that are divided between the two positions include; Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Cashiering, Income Audit/ Revenue Capture System Maintenance and Payroll.

Job Requirements

• Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.

• Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Requires strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Excellent people skills.
• Must meet grooming standards.
• We provide a substance free environment. Substance testing is mandatory.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations.
• Computer experience required.

• High School degree or equivalent.

Compensation

Wage	$12 - $18 DOE
Hours	Full Time, Part Time, Permanent
