 Scope of this Position

  • The Sales Manager is responsible for generating top line revenue for the hotel and contributing to a positive, enthusiastic environment. Major areas of responsibility include:
  • Conducting sales calls including the follow up of all leads
  • Compliance to all policies and procedures stipulated in the Sales Standards and Procedures manual
  • Attending hotel sales meetings
  • Maximizing use of time selling for assigned market segments
  • Participating as a management team member
  • Understanding hotel operations and attending both hotel customer and employee events
  • Networking in the community and with clients.
  • Requires a minimum of 1-2 year(s) of experience.
  • This position reports to: Director of Sales
  • Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.

 Job Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Technical Requirements:
  • Experience selling to a variety of market segments.
  • Actively participate in industry related organizations.
  • Strong background in selling rooms, F&B, Catering, Meeting Rooms, and A/V.
  • Thorough knowledge of sales techniques.
  • Enjoy asking for business and closing sales.
  • Consistently make cold calls.
  • Aggressively pursue new accounts on a weekly basis.
  • Maximize yield.
  • Consistently book repeat business.
  • Track record developing long term business relationships.
  • Spend minimal time in office.
  • Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with clients.
  • Conduct familiarization trips.
  • Make onsite and field presentations to prospective clients.
  • Work effectively with Rooms, Recreation, Catering, Conference/Convention Services, and Banquet Departments.
  • Participate in local community to develop business.
  • Attend trade shows and participate in sales blitzes.
  • Excellent phone sales skills.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Enjoy a team sales approach.
  • Desire recognition and compensation based on personal sales production.
  • Maintain and use trace system.
  • Strong background in Corporate sales.
  • Strong background in T&T.
