 Scope of this Position

  • Receive and promptly respond to customer inquiries, prepare and send requested materials to clients, complete and send RFPs and contracts to potential clients
  • Coordinate details pertaining to Rooming Lists and BEOs, and distribute Rooming Lists and BEOs
  • Lead site inspections, educate Event Planners on hotel procedures, develop realtionships within the community
  • Document and report all sales activities
  • In preparing for this position, candidate ideally will have worked in at least the following departments or positions: Sales
  • This position reports to: Director of Sales
  • Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.
  • Overnight travel for this position: 5%

 Job Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
  • Exhibit comptuer skill including word processing, spreadsheets, familiairity with brand specific property Management Systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and hotel personnel from all departments.
Technical Requirements:
  • Enjoy asking for business and closing sales.
  • Consistently make cold calls.
  • Consistently book repeat business.
  • Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with clients.
  • Conduct familiarization trips.
  • Make onsite and field presentations to prospective clients.
  • Work effectively with Rooms, Recreation, Catering, Conference/Convention Services, and Banquet Departments.
  • Develop budgets and projections for assigned market segment(s).
  • Participate in local community to develop business.
  • Attend trade shows and participate in sales blitzes.
  • Excellent phone sales skills.
Managerial Requirements:

  • Experience making presentations in front of groups.
  • Instill a calm, organized approach in all situations.
