  • We are seeking a professional with intimate knowledge of the luxury boutique hotel market in Daytona Beach as well as Central Florida.

 The Ideal Candidate for this Position

This person will oversee all aspects of reservations management and be responsible for maximizing revenue and profit associated with rooms inventory. Working closely with the General Manager and Director of Revenue Management, the Reservations Manager will assist in determining the hotels' leisure sales strategy and pricing and ensure effective implementation of strategies. Will also be responsible for all related reporting and analysis to identify future opportunities and ensure strategic plans are executed and communicated.

The candidate must possess the minimum qualifications of having at least two years of reservations supervision/management experience in a property of similar scope and service.

 Scope of this Position

  • Must have SMS - Springer Miller System experience and mastery
  • This is a hands on management position.
  • Reservations Manager will lead the team and be involved in day-to day department operations.
  • Successful track record of selling and upselling success
  • Position will be responsible for supervising/managing/overseeing the following departments: Reservations
  • In preparing for this position, candidate ideally will have worked in at least the following departments or positions: Front Office, Reservations
  • Requires a minimum of 2 year(s) of supervisory experience.
  • Approximate full time staff under this position: 5
  • This position reports to: Director of Revenue Management
  • Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality.
  • Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.

 Job Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Technical Requirements:
  • Experience teaching reservationists how to up-sell consistently.
  • Work closely with FO and Sales Departments.
  • Coordinate with FO, Catering & Sales to accommodate group and corp. accounts.
  • Experience working closely with travel agents/airlines.
  • Solid sales skills and enjoy selling and teaching others to sell.
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
Managerial Requirements:
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to sell concepts and ideas to management, peers, and employees.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present technical subjects.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with guests, groups, and personnel from other departments.

What a Great Stopover!

What a great stopover! We stayed at The Shores on July 21 - July 23, 2009, enroute to Cape Canaveral. There we boarded the Disney cruise ship, Wonder. We enjoyed ou stay so much, that it was hard for us to leave the property. We usually stay in Destin, but The Shores will now top our list for a stop over. No one in our party had been to Daytona Beach, so the whole experience was different. Love the hotel, lounge, bar, spa & restaurant, the town, the beach and the ocean. We will be back, again soon. Thanks for making our trip most enjoyable.

Fantastic Resort

Stayed at The Shores for 4 nights 7/29/09 thru 8/2/09. Absolutely fantastic. Rooms were spotless, as was the entire Resort. Staff was excellent and friendly. Common areas were every nice. Food was excellent from all three restaurants. Most comfortable beds I every slept in. Used the fitness center all four days, and it was great to see they had free weights as well as the standard equipment. I will be back time and time again. I honestly would not change a single thing.

ALL WAS GREAT

I COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THIS HOTEL. AND I TRIED. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN, SPACIOUS AND COMFORTABLE. CHECK IN WAS A BREEZE. HELPED FIND RESTRAUNTS AND NAVIGATE US AROUND TOWN. BEAUTIFUL HOTEL FIRE PITS ARE GREAT AT NIGHT GAVE US SOMETHING TO DO WITH OUR CHILDREN WITHOUT GOING OUT OF THE HOTEL. YOU WOULD NOT REGRET A STAY AT THIS HOTEL.
