We are currently searching for a Garde Manger cook to join our strong team. The person in this position is responsible for preparation, execution, and presentation of banquet and fine dining items.
He/She needs to be able to follow the standardized recipes and ensure that food quality, portioning and presentation reflect the Resort's philosophy for fresh, healthful and innovative cuisine.
Job Requirements
Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Looking for 2 years experience or culinary school educated must be able to work in high volume environment and be able to stay cool under pressure.
The candidate must work well in a team environment highly motivated and dependable.
DESIRED SKILLS:
1. Professional experience in Garde Manger in a known food service establishment. Prefer culinary training at an accredited school or professional kitchen and high volume operation experience.
2. Food preparation skills and able to follow recipes and instructions.
3. Team player with a can-do attitude.Knowledge: Knowledge of International cuisine as they relate to
and are the inspiration for Vail Cascade Cuisine.
4. Knowledge of kitchen equipment and its proper usage.
5. Flexibility in cross training, job functions and responsibilities.
6. Bilingual
