A minimum of 3 years experience as a housekeeping department head at a comparable quality/volume hotel. Will also consider candidates who have a minimum of 5 years housekeeping experience with at least 3 years recent experience as Asst Director or Asst Executive Housekeeper. College degree required. This position reports to: Asst General Manager
Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality.
Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.
Job Requirements
Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Technical Requirements:
Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.
Experience managing Housekeeping, Laundry and Engineering.
Solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars.
See that inspection program is consistently maintained.
Assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed.
Work closely with all other Departments.
Inspect some rooms daily.
Experience purchasing linens and housekeeping supplies.
Work closely with vendors to assure proper pricing, delivery, and maintenance.
Experience teaching, supervising, and mentoring multilingual and multicultural staff.
Coordinate PM program with Engineering, Housekeeping and Front Office.
