Scope of this Position
In preparing for this position, candidate ideally will have worked in at least the following departments or positions: Conventions/Conference Services.
Requires a minimum of 3 year(s) of supervisory experience.
Requires a minimum of 3-7 year(s) of experience.
Job Requirements
Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Technical Requirements:
Aggressively sell convention/conference service capabilities
Maintain close contact with clients to determine set-ups, numbers attending, types of facilities required, meal arrangements, times, and any special needs.
Contact clients to sell special amenities and/or extras to enhance their meetings.
Create and present imaginative merchandising and up-selling.
Work closely with all involved operating Departments to assure smooth delivery of all services.
Exceptional follow-up
Awareness of trends in food and service.
Continually look for new and better ways to service groups and internal departments.
Be a creative source to all Meeting Planners and group representatives.
Experience operating A/V as profit center.
Managerial Requirements:
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
Use a "hands-on" approach to management.
Instill a "can-do" attitude in employees.
Instill a calm, organized approach in all situations.
Business Skills:

Educational Requirements:
High School degree or equivalent.
Specific degree in: BA/BS a plus
