Scope of this Position
Coordinate large, very busy meeting facilities. Norm is several banquets simultaneously.
Work closely with sales, catering, and kitchen to assure groups receive equivalent of four star service and presentation with innovative menus and presentation.
Position will be responsible for supervising/managing/overseeing the following departments: all F&B operations
Requires a minimum of 5 year(s) of supervisory experience.
Requires a minimum of 7 year(s) of experience.
This position reports to: GM
Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality.
Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.
Job Requirements
Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Understand, and be comfortable making suggestions to, and meeting menu and presentation needs of groups who frequent four star hotels and resorts.
Extensive experience dealing with very busy banquet departments that generate several million in revenues per year.
Technical Requirements:
Solid progression through F&B ranks.
Experience with very busy banquet operations.
Experience developing, costing, pricing, and merchandising menus.
Leadership Requirements:
Provide leadership to the departments to achieve their goals and objectives.
Communicate the goals and objectives and inspire employees to achieve those goals.
Managerial Requirements:
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
A mentor who has inspired, trained, and developed people for promotion.
Instill a calm, organized approach in all situations.
Business Skills:
Excellent listening skills.
Exceptional detail in follow-up.
Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
Forecasting skills.
Understand basic asset management.

Educational Requirements:
High School degree or equivalent.
Specific degree in: Culinary or BA/BS a plus
