Responsibilities for this Position

• BASIC FUNCTION:
• Greet our guest as they arrive and depart. Load and unload luggage.
• Valet cars.
• Position requires excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift and carry heavy items.
• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand/walk up to 6-8 hours per day.
• Responsible for efficient, safe and friendly arrival and departure of guests.
• Provide warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Resort including use of guest name.
• Provide assistance in and out of vehicles of all guests.
• Ensure that Valet staff operates all vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Clearly explain parking and luggage procedures.
• Provide useful information and assistance as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the hotel entrance, and parking lot areas.
• Ensuring fire lanes are kept clear.
• Give directions to area sites.
• Direct and control all activity at the hotel's entrance.
• Personally escort guests to reception agent.
• Be knowledgeable of emergency procedures.
• Follow direction and instruction offered by doorperson.

Job Requirements

• Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
• QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE:
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience in the service industry preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Service orientation, communication and analytical abilities.
• Pleasant phone demeanor when working inside.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Current drivers license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work while standing, walking, and running.

• Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.
