About the Boss
The Human Resources Manager onboard supports the Training and Development Manager in any and all training and development programs and initiatives.
Scope of this Position
This is a shipboard position.
Position will be responsible for supervising/managing/overseeing the following departments: employee training and career development
In preparing for this position, candidate ideally will have worked in at least the following departments or positions: Human Resources, Employee Relations
Requires a minimum of 2 year(s) of experience.
This position reports to: Human Resources Manager
Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.
Job Requirements
Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Technical Requirements:
Develop/implement self paced training programs for hourly and management employees.
Solid experience implementing training for hourly and management employees.
Managerial Requirements:
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
Experience making presentations in front of groups.
Ability to clearly and concisely present technical subjects.
Demonstrate team building experience.
Experience communicating, training, and managing multi-lingual staffs.
A mentor who has inspired, trained, and developed people for promotion.
Business Skills:
Strong technical skills.
Good knowledge of computers.
Thorough understanding of HR requirements and regulatory agency requirements.
Knowledge of the following foreign languages, not required, but highly desired: Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese
Provide overall direction, coordination, and ongoing evaluation of operations.
Educational Requirements:
BA/BS 4-5 year degree or foreign equivalency.
Specific degree in: Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or international equivalent
