 Property Description

French Lick Resort Casino has embarked on an incredible $500 million historic restoration and expansion. In addition to the restoration of the French Lick Springs Hotel, including 443 fully renovated guest rooms, a new event center, exciting retail shops, and fully restored public areas, we are proud to announce the addition of the French Lick Casino, returning gaming to the Springs Valley for the first time since 1949.

With the reopening of the luxurious West Baden Springs Hotel, French Lick has truly created the Midwest's premiere resort and casino destination.

The West Baden Springs Hotel, the National Historic Landmark once known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” reopened in May, 2007 after being closed to travelers since 1932. The re-opening of this national treasure marked the complete renovation of the two historic hotels at the French Lick Resort Casino destination.

The West Baden Springs Hotel is the crown jewel of the restoration project, features what was once the world’s largest free span dome, soaring 110 feet above the atrium floor. Six circular stories containing 246 rooms, including eight specialty suites and a lavish Presidential Suite, surrounds the atrium.

For generations, our beautiful retreat has offered a scenic environment in which to relax and enjoy nature. Guests can stroll shaded walkways and visit the famous gazebo housing the Pluto mineral springs, nestled amidst lush gardens of colorful flowers and carefully trimmed greenery. Our manicured grounds also provide an impeccable backdrop for all kinds of events, from weddings and corporate picnics, to family cookouts.

At French Lick, every element provides guests with a heightened experience that reflects our legacy of excellence. Luxurious accommodations, pampering spa treatments, exhilarating Donald Ross-designed golf and state-of-the-art conference and event facilities will make French Lick Resort Casino the ultimate modern getaway.

Resort Amenities include:
Vegas style gaming
Two Historic Hotels with full modern day amenities
Three championship golf course
Signature spas
Tennis
Stables
Bowling
Swimming

The French Lick Resort is truly a beautiful environment in which to relax and enjoy nature and the surrounding grounds. The famous gazebo housing the ever-popular mineral water springs resides amidst lush gardens of colorful flowers and carefully trimmed greenery. The shaded walkways provide quiet solitude at mid-day or for an evening stroll.

Bright, colorful flowers of the season welcome each guest to the hotel. Walks around the hotel gardens will lead you past the famous gazebo which houses the "Pluto" mineral water springs. Each turn in the garden path reveals more color and a relaxing atmosphere. Whether you are on your way to the tennis courts, one of the golf courses, or just strolling, you can't help but enjoy the serene surroundings.

The gardens offer a beautiful, tranquil setting....perfect for a romantic stroll, family nature walk, or just to sit back & relax on one of the benches.

Private events and banquets can also be hosted throughout the grounds of the resort. Wedding ceremonies, corporate picnics, cookouts....all have a host of areas to choose from.

It's All About the Water!

For over 200 years, the Pluto Mineral Spring has drawn visitors to French Lick. The resort's legendary success is largely in part to the mineral springs. The Spa at French Lick Resort still offers a hot Pluto Mineral Springs bath. You too can experience the waters that have drawn people to French Lick Springs for the touted healing powers of the mineral springs.

Today, French Lick Resort rests on some 2,600 acres in the breathtaking Hoosier National Forest. The current facility includes 470 rooms and boasts two superb golf courses, the Valley Course and the scenic, Donald Ross designed, Country Club Hill Course. Badminton, volleyball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, croquet, stables, and two swimming pools (including a spacious bubble enclosed one) are other activities offered. Additionally, excellent horses, tennis courts, mineral baths and massages await the pleasure of guests.

The hotel's experienced staff is prepared to handle business meetings of any size up to 1,000 guests in some twenty-two function rooms, plus a 22,000 sq. ft. convention center. Facilities also include dining rooms, lounges, bowling alleys and a game room. A rich and colorful history included such famous names as John Barrymore, Clark Gable, Bing Crosby, President Roosevelt, The Trumans, and The Reagans. All were honored guests at the French Lick Resort. They walked in the rose gardens, they drank brandy on the veranda, and they relaxed in the mineral springs.

And now.....you can too.
