Laundry Attendant

Responsibilities for this Position |
|
- Loads articles into washer and adds specified amount of soap, detergent, or other cleaning agent.
- Turns valve to fill washer with water.
- Starts machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
- Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them sucessively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
- Sorts dried articles according to type.
- Folds and places items in appropriate storage areas.
- Ensures cleanliness of equipment.
- May sort and count articles to verify quantities on laundry lists.
- May soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solution to precondition for washing.
- May mix dyes and bleaches according to formula, and dye and bleach specified items.
- Abides by the regulations of the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
- Reports to shift on time and in uniform according to company policy.
- Takes initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements |
|
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Technical Requirements:
- Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must meet grooming standards.
