General Maintenance/HVAC Certified
BASIC FUNCTION: General Maintenance will assist guests with maintenance requests, identify problems and perform various maintenance tasks. They will perform routine maintenance tasks on their own after training and will assist others with more technical tasks. |

Responsibilities for this Position |
|
- Resolves guest maintenance problems and handles all guest requests.
- Performs simple preventative maintenance tasks in all guestrooms and other resort areas.
- Assists other department staff with technical repairs.
- Identifies problems that cannot be readily repaired and writes work orders for those problems.
- Completes basic work order requests.
- Must have basic knowledge of EMS and life safety systems, with training.
- Accurately completes daily rounds sheets and identifies and reports major problems.
- Performs other related reasonable duties capable of being performed as requested by Management.

Job Requirements |
|
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year experience in a similar job in the hospitality industry preferred.
- Must be able to use hand tools.
- Must be able to work nights, holidays and weekends.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- HVAC certification preferred.
Technical Requirements:
- Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Requires strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Excellent people skills.
- Must meet grooming standards.

The West Baden Springs Hotel, the National Historic Landmark once known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” reopened in May, 2007 after being closed to travelers since 1932. The West Baden Springs Hotel is the crown jewel of the restoration project,features what was once the world’s largest free span dome, soaring 110 feet above the atrium floor. For over 200 years, the Pluto Mineral Spring has drawn visitors to French Lick. The resort's legendary success is largely in part to the mineral springs. The Spa at French Lick Resort still offers a hot Pluto Mineral Springs bath. You too can experience the waters that have drawn people to French Lick Springs for the touted healing powers of the mineral springs.
Today, French Lick Resort rests on some 2,600 acres in the breathtaking Hoosier National Forest. The current facility includes 470 rooms and boasts two superb golf courses, the Valley Course and the scenic, Donald Ross designed, Country Club Hill Course. Badminton, volleyball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, croquet, stables, and two swimming pools (including a spacious bubble enclosed one) are other activities offered.
