  • JOB DESCRIPTION
  • The primary role of the Director, Revenue Management Systems is to provide front line support and training to the field surrounding all of HEI’s Revenue Management Systems.
  • Primarily, these systems include PDA tools, BnC Tools, Crystal Reports, and various excel spreadsheets.
  • The position will be required to have a thorough working knowledge of both the technical aspects of the tools as well as HEI’s philosophies and direction in their application in day to day revenue management strategies and decision making.
  • The position will provide front line technical and business support, with the vendors providing second level support.
  • The Director, Revenue Management Systems will need to travel to hotels for training and support as needed, and will be responsible for conducting regular new hire training programs.
  • The position will also work directly with HEI’s various vendors to develop future tools and enhancements.
  • Review current revenue management tools and systems in place, provide feedback, and prepare recommendations on areas for improvement
  • Ensure effective structures, processes, jobs and performance management systems are in place
  • Effectively implement guidelines for systems evaluation and development
  • Identify technology enhancements needed and work with hotels to develop a business case supporting implementation within budgetary guidelines
  • Work with key corporate groups to identify needed enhancements
  • Work closely with Corporate team and vendors to evaluate and critique future initiatives and past efforts. Communicate results to the field and support recommendations
  • Develop a 30-60-90 day revenue management systems implementation plan before an acquisition or sale of a hotel to ensure a smooth transition
  • Create a strong Corporate Revenue Management environment by maintaining a productive dialogue and exchange of ideas

 Job Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
  • EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum three years of Hotel Revenue Management and over five years of Hospitality experience demonstrating career growth and exceptional performance.
  • Multi-brand work experience preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Hotel Management, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Finance or a relevant field of work
  • SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Experience with conflict management/resolution and negotiation/persuasion skills to work with vendors and properties to implement various corporate-sponsored tools and initiatives.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Posses analytical skills and ability to use the results of analysis to make effective strategic decisions and recommendations
  • Microsoft Office and Adobe (Advanced knowledge of Excel a must)
  • Customer Service oriented
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Travel required
  • Public speaking required
  • REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals.
  • Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.
  • Written communication skills to be concise, well organized, complete, and clear.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
