- PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- Will supervise and maintain the property's revenue cycle.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees cash handing processes, including completing daily cash deposits, issuing and maintaining house banks, issuing change to staff, and issuing petty cash. Assume general cashier duties.
- Maintains records, including daily cash over and short log, signed bank contracts for all cashiers, and change orders. All shortages to be tracked by cashier.
- Audits house banks. Reports results to cashier, cashier’s supervisor, and Controller. Tracks and communicates cash variances with cashiers and supervisors.
- Maintains general cashier hours to be available to staff for petty cash and change needs.
- Submits petty cash to accounts payable on a weekly basis. Ensures that petty cash expenditures are recorded to the appropriate time period.
- Counts bank daily. Counts drop or fund overage or shortage on a weekly basis. Maintains the safe in a neat and organized fashion. Adheres to all bank and cash handling standards and procedures.
- Prepares, schedules and supervises monthly and quarterly inventories. Ensures proper inventory procedures are followed. Take part in all inventories at month end to ensure proper counts and audit a sample of the unit prices on a monthly basis.
- Prepare daily uploads of the budget and the forecast at month end.
- Assist A/R clerk with bills, collection calls and backup for bills.
- Audit A/P invoices for compliance with invoice and purchase order policies.
- Prepares daily financial reporting for hotel and posts in a timely manner to corporate office.
- Cross train and understand completely the functions of A/P, A/R, and Payroll and ensure that the team is also cross trained in all areas to avoid interruptions when someone is out.

Job Requirements |

- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- College degree in accounting or equivalent business experience.
- Minimum one year previous financial experience.
- Previous audit and account reconciliation experience.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent time management skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
