Responsibilities for this Position |
 |
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- To sell and serve beverages and food to guests in a professional and upscale manner.
- Check and maintain proper set up and cleanliness of lounge and service station before during and after shift. Areas should be kept in top appearance at all times.
- Meet and greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain all specials, promotions and appetizers. Maintain excellent rapport with guests and stimulate sales through professionalism.
- Input orders into Point of Sale system in a timely manner to inform bartender or kitchen an order was made.
- Replenish beverages as requested, frequently checking back with guest to inquire about satisfaction. Anticipate guests needs and be alert to their signals.
- Present the guest with the check promptly, thanking them and inviting them to return. Take care of any lounge checks that need to be transferred to the dining room.

- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY:
- The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Individuals must posses and demonstrate the ability to interact with all guests, internal and external, effectively with tact and diplomacy in line with property's service standards.
- Knowledge of all recipes for all beverages and presentation of each.
- Knowledge of food menu and serving abilities.
- Ability to up-sell drink items.
- Knowledge of check handling procedures.
- Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
- Ability to read, write and speak English to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, etc.
- Ability to move through a crowded lounge to serve guests.
- Able to carry trays weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to handle money and make change for guests.
- Ability to be a good listener and memorize guest drink orders.
- Ability to be alert and attentive, pleasant and outgoing personality.
- Ability to serve drinks on 5 ft. high bar.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
- EDUCATION: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- EXPERIENCE: Cocktailing experience required.
- LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES: Food Handler’s Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification
- GROOMING: All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available)
- OTHER: Must be at least 19 years of age to serve alcohol.
