Martin's Caterers seeks Banquet Managers for our large volume in-house catering facilities. We are Maryland's largest social caterer with 9 catering facilities and over 20 ballrooms. Scope of this Position |
 |
- Position will be responsible for supervising/managing/overseeing the following departments: Ballroom Events
- In preparing for this position, candidate ideally will have worked in at least the following departments or positions: Catering Management
- Requires a minimum of 3 year(s) of supervisory experience.
- Requires a minimum of 5 year(s) of experience.
- Approximate full time staff under this position: 10
- Approximate part time staff under this position: 100
- Departments under this position generate revenues approximating Varies
- Position is responsible for a budget approximating Varies
- This position reports to: General Manager
- Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.

Job Requirements |
 |
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- Experience supervising banquets
- Maintain a balance between floor supervision, and administration.
- Facilitate employee training, mentoring and hosting/communicating with groups
- Coordinate meal and set up requests with appropriate departments
- Communicate with Kitchen and Sales Departments
Technical Requirements:
- Maintain ongoing training program for Catering employees.
- Excellent creative skills to provide innovative set-ups, menus, and functions for groups.
Managerial Requirements:
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience making presentations in front of groups.
- Demonstrate team building experience.
- Track record promoting an atmosphere of teamwork.
