Training We Provide |
 |
Typically we bring in one of our seasoned Department Heads from another property to work with the new Department head. Sometimes we will send a new manager to another property to be trained in the things that are important to our company. Many of our staff members have been with us for at least several years. We've all pitched in to help each other out, and we all share our experiences.

Based on their performance Housekeepers have the opportunity to promote to larger hotels or to move into rooms operations if that is their desire.

The Ideal Candidate for this Position |
 |
Will have housekeeping experience at properties that have been well maintained. ;Must have a good understanding on how to clean rooms and public areas, know the laundry, and have experience keeping inventory and initiating orders for housekeeping and laundry supplies. Must be able to train and manage employees.

About the Boss |

Is easy to get along with as long as Department heads give him a simple daily update on what is happening in their Department. GM gives employees the space they need to do their job, but the GM wants to know what is going on. GM prefers an environment where employees can laugh and enjoy themselves while always remembering that the job comes first.

Scope of this Position |
 |
- Keys to success are:
- Hiring good employees and then giving them the training and motivation they need.
- Inspect rooms daily and be available to the staff and guests to answer any questions.
- Teach housekeeping employees to cheerfully greet guests and other employees any time they see them.

Job Requirements |
 |
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Technical Requirements:
- See that inspection program is consistently maintained.
- Assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed.
- Work closely with all other Departments.
Managerial Requirements:
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Build morale and spirit.
- Use a "hands-on" approach to management.
- Experience training and cross-training employees.
- Instill a calm, organized approach in all situations.
Business Skills:
- Strong customer service orientation and skills.
- Exceptional detail in follow-up.
Educational Requirements:
- High School degree or equivalent.
