Scope of this Position |
 |
- In preparing for this position, candidate ideally will have worked in at least the following departments or positions: hotel sales
- This position reports to: Director of Sales
- Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.
 |
Job Requirements |
 |
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Technical Requirements:
- Maintain close contact with clients to determine set-ups, numbers attending, types of facilities required, meal arrangements, times, and any special needs.
- Contact clients to sell special amenities and/or extras to enhance their meetings.
- Create and present imaginative merchandising and up-selling.
- Work closely with all involved operating Departments to assure smooth delivery of all services.
- Ability to guide clients through property limitations.
- Excellent skills developing alternative approaches to meet client demands while staying within property profit guidelines.
- Exceptional follow-up
- Tour meeting rooms frequently to assure proper set-ups.
- Review all billings before submitting for processing.
- Promote wine and beverage sales.
- Know meeting room sets and A/V requirements
- Excellent written and oral communications skills with clients.
Managerial Requirements:
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience making presentations in front of groups.
- Maintain a good working relationship with guests, groups, and personnel from other departments.
Business Skills:
- Strong technical skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
