- BASIC FUNCTION:
- Responsible for supporting the Room Attendants in a variety of ways and maintaining, cleaning, and vacuuming public areas, especially on the guest floors, elevators, storage areas, and stairwells.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to work on feet for an extended period of time, to reach over head repeatedly, lots of bending, and pulling, pushing weights up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to read room numbers, dates and basic instructions.
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Must be able to stand/walk up to 6-8 hours per day.
- Remove dirty linens from room attendants' carts throughout a shift.
- Remove trash from room attendants' carts throughout a shift.
- Distribute clean linens to the room attendants' carts.
- Ensure room attendants' carts are properly stocked.
- Distribute and pick-up clean glassware.
- Responsible for cleaning glassware.
- Responsible for the maintenance and vacuuming of guest corridors.
- Responsible for the maintenance of guest elevators and tracks.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of team member elevators and tracks.
- Practice safety standards at all times.
- Responsible care of equipment.
- Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, to maintain accurate time records.
- Remain alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and co-workers at all times.
- Respond to radio requests within 15 minutes.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all equipment.
- Ensure linen chute areas are clean and well maintained.
- Ensure roll-a-ways and cribs are kept clean, made and stored properly.
- Ensure storerooms are properly stocked with clean linen.
- Ensure all storage areas are clean and well maintained.
- Understand and comply with all OSHA laws.
- Understand hazard communications program.
- Know all hotel policies and procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness of all stairwells.
- Assist management team as needed.

Job Requirements |

- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- House person experience desirable.
- Ability to work on feet for an extended period of time.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to read room numbers, dates and basic instructions.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to operate effectively in stressful situations.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Time management skills.
