- Scope of this Position
- - Position will be responsible for supervising/managing/overseeing the following departments: Human Resources
- - In preparing for this position, candidate ideally will have worked in at least the following departments or positions: Human Resources
- - Requires a minimum of 3 year(s) of experience.
- - This position reports to: General Manager with a dotted line to the Corporate VP of HR
- - Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality.
- Job Requirements
- - Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- Technical Requirements:
- - Develop HR strategies and administer HR policies and procedures.
- - Strong background in employment, employee relations, benefits, wage and salary, employee training, accident prevention, and government regulations and policies as they impact HR.
- - Solid background in EEO, OSHA, ADA, anti-discrimination, COBRA, immigration requirements, etc.
- - Effectively communicate and promote employee benefit program.
- - Conduct needs analysis, develop, implement, and monitor training programs and materials.
- - Quantitatively evaluate goals and objectives of HR Department.
- - Stay abreast of technology, regulatory, and administrative trends that impact HR.
- - Experience managing multiple person HR Department.
- - Ability to maintain proper applicant flow, set affirmative action goals, write job descriptions, know various recruiting sources, coordinate/conduct new employee orientations, and ability to interview effectively.
- - Successfully defend against unemployment claims, Workers' Compensation claims, etc.
- - Conduct wage and salary surveys.
- - Provides employee counseling as necessary.
- - Publish employee newsletter.
- - Plans and coordinates employee functions, suggestion program, etc.
- - Take an active role in professional HR organizations.
- - Work closely with Corporate/Regional/Franchise HR functions.
