Responsibilities for this Position |
|
- Provides supervision to all employees of the slot operations department on assigned shift.
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for the overall function and performance of assigned shift.
- Acts as a representative of the company, interacting with the customers and employees in a professional, courteous manner.
- Trains all new employees to the assigned shift to ensure that these employees receive the proper knowledge to perform their duties at an acceptable level.
- Implements departmental and company procedures including all policies and procedures regarding the security of monies, parts, equipment and required documentation.
- Ensures proper staffing levels in order to provide adequate floor coverage and a high level of customer and machine service with minimum labor hours.
- Delegates assignments to ensure that all functions of the shift are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. Tracks assigned tasks to ensure their proper completion.
- Ensures all slot operations staff are familiar with, and accurately completing all necessary shift paperwork in order to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of all departmental records and reports. Investigates any discrepancies found.
- Performs payroll duties including submitting timecards/sheets in a timely manner, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date attendance records and personnel files for each of the employees on an assigned shift.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all Company facilities including, but not limited to, special promotions and events in order to provide pertinent information to employees as well as customers.
- Ensures that there is an orderly and positive working environment in the Slot Department.
- Evaluates shift employees to ensure the maintenance of an acceptable performance level.
- Assists with recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching and discipline, terminations and other personnel related issues.
- Communicates regularly with employees and keep them informed of all casino activities and events.
- Must consistently demonstrate a high level of customer service to customers and employees, and represent the casino in a friendly and professional manner.
- May be asked to perform various duties as assigned by the Director/Manager of Slot Operation.
- Shall cooperate with the Director of Gaming Commission and Commissioners to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of the Casino.
- Performs other related reasonable duties capable of being performed as requested by Management.

Job Requirements |
|
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to both customers and employees
- College degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of slot operations experience and at least one year personnel supervisory experience
- Game performance experience desirable
- Successful candidate must be an experienced, results oriented, hands-on professional
- Must demonstrate leadership, fairness, and sensibility to the customers and employees
- Must possess ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in subordinate employees
- Must possess an understanding of legal ramifications and implications of various employee and customer actions
Educational Requirements:
- High School degree or equivalent.

Today, French Lick Resort rests on some 2,600 acres in the breathtaking Hoosier National Forest.
