Responsibilities for this Position |
|
- 1. Loads articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent.
- 2. Turns valve to fill washer with water.
- 3. Starts machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
- 4. Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
- 5. Sorts dried articles according to identification number or type.
- 6. Folds and places item in appropriate storage bin.
- 7. Irons all table linens.
- 7. Lubricates machines, using grease gun and oil can.
- 8. Ensures cleanliness of equipment.
- 9. May dissolve soap granules in hot water and steam to make liquid soap.
- 10. May mend torn articles using needle and thread.
- 11. May sort and count articles to verify quantities on laundry lists.
- 12. May soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solution in vat to precondition for washing.
- 13. May mix dyes and bleaches according to formula, and dye and bleach specified articles.
- 14. Abides by the regulations of the material safety data sheet when using chemicals.
- 15. Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.

Job Requirements |

- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Technical Requirements:
- Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
- Requires strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Excellent people skills.
- Must meet grooming standards.
- Meet/exceed customer expectations.
- Must meet or exceed the team expectations.
- An energetic personality.
Educational Requirements:
- High School degree or equivalent.
