 Responsibilities for this Position

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Must have experience with kitchen equipment, laundry equipment and HVAC refrigerator.
  • Coordinate the installation and repair of all electrical, mechanical and architectural systems throughout the facility to ensure a safe and a well-maintained property.
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Property Operations in administrating special projects involving electrical, mechanical and general construction of new facilities and/or new equipment.
  • Assigns and verifies completion of routine maintenance and operation of physical structure of resort, all mechanical systems and any other systems which affect the operation of the facility. Visually inspects quality of work and directs staff and outside contractors in tasks according to performance and productivity standards.
  • Communicates effectively with city officials to ensure proper maintenance of permits and licenses on all required areas and equipment.
  • SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
  • In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the resort.
  • Assist all trade engineers when needed to provide direction.
  • Assists the Assistant Director in establishment and control of the annual budget.
  • Communicate major repairs, and items that cannot be repaired, to the director for further action.
  • Be immediately available to report to the resort in the event of any emergency which necessitates the skills and expertise of the Assistant Director. By example such emergencies may include, but not be limited to, fire, power outage, equipment failure, etc.
  • Due to the nature of our business, the individual may be required to do other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Property Operations.

 Job Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
  • QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
  • SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY
  • The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
  • Individuals must posses and demonstrate the ability to interact with all guests, internal and external, effectively with tact and diplomacy in line with property's service standards.
  • Knowledge of all maintenance trades, including HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing.
  • Skilled in the use of related tools, including hand and power tools.
  • Basic English language and mathematical skills in order to communicate with co-workers.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Ability to push and pull objects weighing up to 100 lbs. and grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs, and ladders working at heights up to 30 ft. for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the resort for the duration of the shift.
  • EDUCATION:
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other training or experience that provides the required knowledge.
  • EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in all maintenance trades and electrician experience. Previous experience in general repairs and maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of refrigeration and plumbing.
  • APPEARANCE:
  • Highly professional appearance, ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
  • Specific standards are available.

  • Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.
