The ideal candidate will:
Have the ability for critical Thinking Have the ability to manage people effectively Pocess Extensive knowledge of Hotel marketing, negotiating and sales procedures Abilty to perform public speaking Abilty to function independently and as a team
Must have at least a 4 year college degree in Business and Marketing, At least 5 years of Director of Sales expierence

Scope of this Position |
 |
- The Director of Sales is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic Sales and Marketing Plans and initiatives that maximize the profitability for Sheraton Suites.
- Position will be responsible for supervising/managing/overseeing the following departments: Sales Staff
- Requires a minimum of 6 year(s) of experience.
- This position reports to: Area Director of Sales
- Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality.
- Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.

- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Technical Requirements:
- Establish profitable and cost effective sales programs.
- Develop and implement sales plan for all profit centers.
- Maintain sales awareness throughout property.
- Consistently monitor results to goals.
- Teach, train, counsel, and lead Sales staff in consistently exceeding production goals.
- Direct selling effort of sales and reservations.
- Ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain communications with Regional and/or Corp. Staff.
- Monitor competition.
- Stress development of weekend business.
- Build shoulder season group business.
- Develop and promote trade and consumer sales programs, packages, etc.
- Develop budgets, projections, and implementation plans for each market segment.
Leadership Requirements:

- Provide leadership to position the property to achieve the mission.
- Provide leadership to the departments to achieve their goals and objectives.
