- Being one of the few true ski-in, ski-out properties in Vail, the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa is nestled mountainside along Gore Creek and considered one of the finest ski resorts in the nation.
- Property amenities include 50,000 square feet of meeting area and the award winning Aria Club and Spa, the largest in Vail.

- The person in this role will assist Director of Engineering in the day to day operations of the resort, coordinate work schedules for staff, assign work orders, projects, and preventive maintenance tasks; inventory, maintain, and order parts; follow up on assigned work, review daily work logs, work with the crew as required.
- On own and with the help of the entire hotel staff: gather, collect, and solicit work, tasks, repair items, and work orders; sort and prioritize the information; make sure the required parts and materials are available and if not, requisition and order them.
- Hands on position-will perform maintenance tasks, general maintenance, complete assigned work and help in the maintenance and repairs of all areas of the resort.
- Correct individual will contribute to the profitability of the hotel by controlling costs associated with department while providing first class services to our guests.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds on an infrequent basis and move several hundred pounds with proper equipment.

- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- ================
- ESSENTIAL:
- 1. Must have broad knowledge and experience in the building maintenance fields with a minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years in a similar position or equal experience and or training
- 2. Extensive and specific Mechanical or Cosmetic knowledge and experience
- 3. Knowledge and experience of maintenance, trouble shooting and repair procedures in all areas of facility and mechanical systems and other related systems normally found in hotels.
- 4. Available to work any shift, any day, including overtime or on a required or scheduled day off based on the needs of the hotel.
- DESIRABLE:
- 1. Must have ability to use time in an efficient effective manner to evaluate a situation, diagnose the problem, and develop a plan of action to repair or correct the situation using engineering staff or outside vendor in the most efficient, cost effective, timely, and professional manner.
