Company Description |
 |
HEI Hospitality, LLC is one of the nation's leading privately held hotel investment companies. Established in 1985, our primary focus is the acquisition of first-class, full-service hotels throughout the United States' top 50 metropolitan markets. As the majority of our properties are operated through our wholly owned subsidiary, HEI Hotels & Resorts our interests are fully aligned with that of our investors. In certain circumstances, however, we would consider contracting with leading independent and national branded operating companies. We also selectively invest in hospitality related development transactions, some of which include a residential component.
Our ability to recognize investments with substantial revenue potential, maximize operating efficiencies and opportunistic acquisition and sales cycles has allowed us to deliver handsome returns to our investors. Institutional partners in our current investment funds include several leading private institutional real estate companies and eight of the country's most prestigious university endowments. As the hospitality industry expands into new arenas, HEI will continue to aggressively seek promising investments and innovative opportunities to maximize value to our investors.
The company quickly became the fastest growing hotel management company in the industry. In 2002 HEI Hotels & Resorts operated 2 hotels. During 2003 an additional 11 hotels were added to the portfolio. In 2004, between a combination of new partners and with the launch of HEI Hospitality’s private equity fund, 11 more hotels were added to the management portfolio. In 2005 the rapid growth continued exclusively through HEI Fund I, bringing on an additional 6 hotels.
We are now the fastest growing hospitality company in the world! Our MissionOur mission is to be the leading private hospitality investment and operating company built upon the pillars of disciplined growth, integrity and superior performance. We will achieve our mission by realizing our financial goals, exceeding our guest’s expectations and fostering an associate culture of respect, passion, innovation and empowerment. Our FocusOur focus is on managing quality hotels; to do this we partner with quality franchisors and investment partners who have the capital and long-term outlook to provide stability and consistent product quality. In 2004, we spent a total of $15 million on property renovations, and in 2005 that figure rose to $80 million. Some of our major projects in recent years include the Marriott Boca Raton, where we spent $7 million to create a new signature restaurant and to renovate all guest rooms, meeting rooms and the lobby, and the Hilton Long Beach, where we spent $9.5 million on guest rooms and public space.
Our relationship with HEI Hospitality has resulted in one of the strongest owner/operator cultures in the industry, which compliments our long term business strategy. |
