Nail Technician

Responsibilities for this Position |
 |
- GENERAL PURPOSE:
- The general purpose of the Nail Technician is to provide an exceptional salon experience that exceeds the expectations of our guests.
- Perform manicures, pedicures, hand and foot massage, and nail repairs.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and welcome guests.
- Provide a professional nail/foot treatment to every guest.
- Follow all procedures and guidelines while administering nail treatments.
- Prepare and maintain treatment area. I.e., prepare nail care equipment, sanitize instruments, ensure products and supplies are available on a daily basis, and complete all tasks necessary for opening and closing.
- OTHER DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Must be able to sit up to 4-6 hours per day.
- Associate is held accountable for all duties of this job.

Job Requirements |

- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
- Industry certifications a plus.
- CPR/First aid certification highly desirable.
- SKILLS
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written required.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills required.
- Excellent listening skills required.
- ABILITIES
- Must be adaptable and flexible.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
- Be able to make decisions, possess good judgment.
- EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
- High school graduate or GED.
- Valid South Carolina State nail technician license.
Technical Requirements:
- Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.
