Casino Security Officer

Responsibilities for this Position |
|
- Ensures the safety of customers and employees while on the premises of the Gaming Operation
- Generates daily/weekly reports as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
- Assists patrons and employees and responds to critical situations (Medical emergencies, irate patrons, etc.)
- Continually observes and patrols the casino premises, corridors, bar area, office area and parking lot of the Gaming Operation
- Reports to the Supervisor Security any violations, acts, or situations which are detrimental to the best interest of the Gaming Operation
- Ensures the integrity of all slot, keno and table games of the Gaming Operation
- Assists slot personnel in jackpot payouts and slot openings
- Assists in table fills and the transporting of chips and currency as directed by the Supervisor Security
- Assists in any internal or external investigations conducted by the Gaming Operation, SGA or authorized local authorities
- Use company vehicle to transport customers from parking lot
- Maintains the strictest of confidentiality with respect to the internal functions of the Security Department as well as any other confidential information
- Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies
- Attends all necessary training meetings
- Assists in other projects, as directed
- Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed, hours are determined by 24-hour schedule
- Performs other related reasonable duties capable of performing as requested by Management

Job Requirements |
|
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Applicants with Military, Law Enforcement, Police, EMT or Security backgrounds will be looked upon favorably
- Shall be able to successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course
- Must have good observation skills
- Must have good writing and spelling skills
- Prior Security Experience Preferred
Technical Requirements:
- Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Requires strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Excellent people skills.
- Must meet grooming standards.

- At least 21 years of age.
- Meet/exceed customer expectations.
- Computer experience strongly desired.
- Must meet or exceed the team expectations.
- An energetic personality.
Educational Requirements:

The West Baden Springs Hotel, the National Historic Landmark once known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” reopened in May, 2007 after being closed to travelers since 1932. The re-opening of this national treasure marked the complete renovation of the two historic hotels at the French Lick Resort Casino destination.
The West Baden Springs Hotel is the crown jewel of the restoration project,features what was once the world’s largest free span dome, soaring 110 feet above the atrium floor. For over 200 years, the Pluto Mineral Spring has drawn visitors to French Lick. The resort's legendary success is largely in part to the mineral springs. You too can experience the waters that have drawn people to French Lick Springs for the touted healing powers of the mineral springs.
Today, French Lick Resort rests on some 2,600 acres in the breathtaking Hoosier National Forest. The current facility includes 470 rooms and boasts two superb golf courses, the Valley Course and the scenic, Donald Ross designed, Country Club Hill Course. Badminton, volleyball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, croquet, stables, and two swimming pools (including a spacious bubble enclosed one) are other activities offered.
