The Ideal Candidate for this Position

The Banquet Maitre‘d needs to be able to supervise and coordinate banquet events assigned. She/he assists service staff as necessary in their job requirements. Also, they should be able to implement and ensure policies and procedures are followed. In addition, they should be driven to provide quality service through actions that display self-confidence, grace and courtesy to guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities for this Position

• Professional liaison to the function’s contact person, anticipating to and quickly acting on, guests’ needs.
• Coordinates with kitchen on food pick up.
• Supervises set up, preparation, service and tear down of banquet function, and assists as necessary.
• Maintains an up to date working knowledge of the companies procedures as well as any special events.
• Prioritizes and assigns work.
• Is knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Resort policies and ensures they are followed appropriately.
• Conducts pre-meetings and works together with the Catering Manager.
• Addresses all guest feedback with the utmost confidence, grace and concern for their satisfaction.
• Is able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Is able to stand/walk up to 6-8 hours per day.
• Must present a clean - tidy appearance at all times.

Job Requirements

• Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.

• Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.
• Local applicants will be considered first.
• Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
• Requires supervisory experience.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to converse in basic English.
• Requires strong organizational skills.
• Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Excellent people skills.
• Must meet grooming standards.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations.
• Must meet or exceed the team expectations.
• An energetic personality.

• High School degree or equivalent.
