Responsibilities for this Position |
|
- BASIC FUNCTION:
- The Front Office Agent is to provide friendly, efficient registration, and information to all guests, fellow employees, and visitors.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 1. Check guest in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted / fulfilled and accurate information is established.
- 2. Communicate with all departments regarding in house VIP¡¦s and any special needs.
- 3. Thoroughly complete all guest transactions.
- 4. Maintain an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events.
- 5. Promote and sell special hotel programs, special rate packages, and up grades when appropriate.
- 6. Interact with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
- 7. Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Hotel policies.
- 8. Maintain house bank and handle all checks and cash according to Resort policies and procedures.
- 9. Communicate all pertinent information to the Front Office Managers and Supervisors.
- 10. Follow set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
- 11. Solicit guest feedback via guest comment cards.
- 12. Answer the telephone in a professional manner and assist guests with any questions, directions to the property etc.

Job Requirements |
|
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Must have a friendly personality and a caring attitude.
- High school graduate or two years of college education preferred.
- Two years experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
- Excellent oral and communication skills required.
- Good computer skills are required.
- Pleasant telephone demeanor.
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner
Technical Requirements:
- Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.
