- JOB DESCRIPTION
- Ensures the efficient administration and management of the property and corporate talent acquisition/recruiting function; Position will focus on contacting referrals and building an extensive network of candidates for key leadership positions including Corporate Leaders, General Managers, and property Executive Committee roles, as well as key identified need areas (e.g. sales professionals.
- Based in the corporate office located in Norwalk Connecticut, the Corporate Recruiter will work closely with hiring managers and recommend candidates for further consideration for specific positions.
- A key focus of this position is to share the HEI culture and develop an on-going relationship with candidates for future open positions.

- The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

- Understanding of recruiting sales tactics and best practices
- Exposure to various hotel departments to create understanding of total operation
- Work in a goal-driven recruiting culture to meet/exceed hiring measures
- Work closely with operations team to create and sell successful candidates
- Comply with attendance rules and reasonably perform job related tasks assigned
- Interface with Corporate SVPs, VPs and Directors, as well as General Managers and property operations teams
- Utilization of SonicRecruit ATS system
- Be held accountable with operations team ensuring quality of candidate experience, coordinate interview visits with candidate and corporate office staff, meet and greet incoming candidates etc
- Contact possible candidates who have been referred to us and sell HEI as the employer of choice and solicit additional leads
- Phone interview, screen, reference check candidates and recommend candidates to come in for interview
- Build network to get new leads, stay in contact with candidates, send company updates, birthday cards, etc
- Develop and manage HEI’s on-going internal candidate referral program
- Not involved in hiring decisions, offer letters, college recruiting or on boarding

- Business/hospitality degree or commensurate hospitality experience preferred
- SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Passion for recruiting and hospitality

- Application of hospitality/business education in real world setting
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
- Ability to work with a wide variety of candidates at all levels of employment and varying styles of operations team
- Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Basic computer skills and knowledge, ability to quickly grasp new software packages and manage day to day activities via those tools.
- Ability to successfully handle many diverse task and situations
- Excellent marketing and telemarketing skills

In 2005 the rapid growth continued exclusively through HEI Fund I, bringing on an additional 6 hotels.
